Fused Quartz Based Ramming Mass

Fused Quartz Based Ramming Mass

  • An acidic monolithic refractory material primarily composed of high-purity fused silica, with added binders and sintering agents, applied through ramming construction. The core is a silica (SiO2) system
Advantages: Extremely strong thermal shock resistance (frequent furnace starting, stopping, rapid cooling and heating, not easy to produce cracks. Especially suitable for intermittent melting medium frequency furnaces)
High-temperature volume stability, low shrinkage (stable dimensions after sintering, no bulging, no collapsing, more uniform furnace lining life, will not become thinner or looser with use). High purity, low pollution (high-purity fused silica SiO2 > 99%, extremely low impurities, does not contaminate molten iron during melting, casting quality is more stable).
Melting: Cast iron alloys, carbon steel, etc.
